Volta
Volta, Halifax's innovation hub, sells a Focus membership at $70 a month plus tax: community membership with access to community office hours, a 10% discount on meeting room bookings and pay-per-use printing. Coffee and tea is a $30 a month add-on and a mailing address is $50 a month. A Build tier at $200 a month plus tax adds ten complimentary meeting room hours a month, snacks and a mailing address. Every member signs up individually.
CoWork Halifax
CoWork Halifax charges $199 a month for its flexible co-working stations, with a $35 a day drop-in rate. The membership includes staffed reception, high-speed WiFi and complimentary coffee.
Harbour Hub
Harbour Hub offers hot desk membership from $300 a month in what it bills as Halifax's largest hot desk area, with waterfront views.
Choose your first visit
Volta's $70 Focus membership is the cheapest published monthly entry in Halifax, aimed at community-style use rather than a fixed desk. For occasional days, CoWork Halifax's $35 drop-in is the simplest option; Harbour Hub's $300 hot desk is the pick for a waterfront setting.
Read the fine print
Volta's prices exclude tax, each person must hold their own membership, and the Focus tier charges extra for coffee and a mailing address. Harbour Hub's $300 is a from-rate. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
