Coworking costs in Assiut: hours from 15 EGP and monthly bundles from 300 LE

The published hourly rates

Rewaq Workspace on Thabet Street prices by the hour and by zone: the shared space and the women-only space each start from 15 EGP an hour for up to three hours, the VIP silent room from 20 EGP an hour, and the freelancer area with fixed desks and dedicated internet at 25 EGP an hour. The up-to-three-hours framing means longer stays need a fresh quote from the operator.

Nook Workspace, minutes from Assiut University, uses time bands instead: 25 LE for one to three hours, 35 LE for three to six, 45 LE for six to nine, 55 LE for nine to twelve and 65 LE from twelve hours to the end of the day. A full day at Nook therefore caps at 65 LE.

Monthly bundles

Nook's monthly packages sell hours in bulk: 300 LE for 50 hours, 500 LE for 100 hours, 675 LE for 150 hours and 800 LE for 200 hours, which works out to 4 to 6 LE an hour for heavy users - far below the walk-in bands. Rewaq advertises monthly discounts of up to 40 percent, but the page checked does not publish the undiscounted monthly figures, so ask what the discount applies to before comparing.

Meeting and training rooms

Nook's meeting room seats up to ten people at 80 LE an hour, and its class rooms seat 20 and 25 people at 80 LE an hour or 50 people at 120 LE an hour. Rewaq's meeting room costs 30 EGP an hour and its lecture room, with projector and whiteboard, 60 EGP an hour after discount. For a small meeting, Rewaq's 30 EGP room is the cheapest published option in the city; for a 50-person training, only Nook publishes a room that size.

What is not priced

STEP, the city-centre workspace with private offices and meeting rooms, publishes no prices at all on the site checked. If you need an office rather than a desk, its quote is the missing number in this comparison.

These are published tariffs, not quotes. Whether hourly zones hold their rate past three hours, what the monthly discounts apply to and whether a seat is free on your date all need a written answer from the operator.
