Coworking guide
Hot desk, dedicated desk or private office?
A practical way to compare flexible desks, assigned desks and enclosed offices without mixing their prices.

Choose by your work pattern
The useful question is not which product sounds best. It is how often you need a workspace, who works with you and what must stay private. Start with a normal working week, then allow for your busiest days.
Product names vary between operators. Ask what the specific plan includes rather than relying on the label.
A hot desk for flexible attendance
A hot-desk plan generally uses shared desk space rather than a permanently assigned desk. Confirm how desk availability works, whether booking is needed and whether there are visit or hour limits.
This can fit a changing schedule, but check call space and storage. Ask what happens if the shared area is full and whether there is a trial day before a longer commitment.
A dedicated desk for a repeat setup
An assigned desk can matter when you return often or want to leave equipment in place. Check whether storage, a monitor and after-hours access are part of the plan. Ask what can remain overnight and who can enter the area.
Compare the desk rate with the days you expect to use it. Include any joining fees, deposit and notice period in the decision, not just the monthly headline.
A private office for a team or private work
An enclosed office may help when a team needs its own room, but it does not guarantee sound privacy. Ask about acoustics, locks, guest access and whether the quoted capacity leaves enough space for your equipment.
Check whether the rate is per person or per office. Confirm the number of desks, utilities, internet, meeting-room access and any extra charges for adding people.
Compare a like-for-like commitment
Put each offer in the same currency and period before comparing it. A day-pass total and a monthly office price answer different questions. Confirm tax, minimum term, deposit, cancellation and notice requirements directly.
Visit or arrange a trial when possible. Check the internet and calls in the part of the space where you would actually work.
