Coworking costs in Coimbatore: prices, access and tax caveats

The published day rates

Cheran Works lists its day pass at 599 rupees for any open desk between 8:00 and 21:00, with fibre internet, coffee and lounge access, prices excluding GST. PlayWorkz in Peelamedu charges 600 rupees plus GST per weekday for an air-conditioned workstation on an eight-hour daytime structure. Nestora in Vadavalli sells daily, weekly and monthly plans on its ten-desk shared room, and Spaces advertises coworking in Coimbatore from 580 rupees per person per day.

The monthly tiers

Nestora's shared desk is the cheapest published monthly seat in this sample at 3,750 rupees per month with a one-month minimum, hot-desking across ten seats with 24/7 access. PlayWorkz lists monthly dedicated workstations from 6,500 rupees plus GST on the same eight-hour daytime pattern. Cheran Works prices its Flex Desk at 6,999 rupees a month with 24/7 card access and five free meeting-room hours, its Dedicated Desk at 9,999 rupees with a business address and two guest passes, and private cabins from 20,000 rupees onwards, all excluding GST.

Spaces publishes dedicated desks from 590 rupees per person per day and day offices from 6,590 rupees per day, and notes that longer commitments unlock automatic discounts - so its monthly rate depends on term and centre.

Meeting rooms are priced separately

PlayWorkz rents a 12-seater meeting hall at 10,000 rupees for eight hours, 6,000 for four and 4,000 for two, plus GST, and a 5-seater discussion room at 6,000, 4,000 and 2,000 rupees on the same blocks. Cheran Works includes five meeting-room hours a month on its monthly tiers before charging. Spaces lists meeting rooms from 650 rupees per hour. If your week includes client calls, price the room hours before comparing desk rates.

Read the tax and access lines

GST treatment is inconsistent across this sample: Cheran Works and PlayWorkz both state their prices exclude GST, while Nestora's 3,750 rupee figure carries no tax note on the listing checked, so ask whether 18 percent is added. Access hours differ too - Cheran's day pass ends at 21:00 while its Flex tier is 24/7, PlayWorkz is an eight-hour daytime product, and Nestora advertises round-the-clock access even on its cheapest plan. These are published tariffs, not quotes; confirm the current rate, the tax line and seat availability in writing before paying.
