We checked these operators' official pages on 21 October 2026. This is a small, selected sample, not a city market average, a ranking or a live availability check. Rates are as advertised in the stated currency; taxes, contract terms and final availability need a written quote from the operator.
A useful starting point, not a city average
In this six-operator sample, advertised day passes run from £13 to £70 and shared-desk memberships from £180 to £350 per month. These figures answer what these specific pages advertise today, not what every London workspace costs. Rates are in pounds; some operators quote including VAT and others exclude it, and that alone can move a comparison by 20 percent.
This sample also shows three different product shapes: simple day passes, hour-bucket memberships that reset monthly, and conventional monthly desks. Comparing a bucket of 40 hours with an unlimited plan requires knowing your own attendance first.
The published sample
Drop-in, Richmond and other branches: day pass £40 including VAT. Memberships are hour buckets, not calendar access: Club at £180 per month for 40 hours, Pro at £245 for 80 hours and Unlimited at £295, all including VAT. Hours reset at the start of each billing month and do not roll over, so a light month is money lost.
Kindred, Hammersmith: coworking day pass at £13, dog-friendly, with meeting rooms bookable separately. At that rate, ten day passes cost £130, which changes the break-even arithmetic against every monthly plan in this sample.
SHED, Hackney: day pass £40 including VAT, a part-time membership at £190 per month for 10 days and a full membership at £260 including VAT. ARC Club, several branches: first day £10, then £30 per day, a five-day pack at £130 valid for three months, and a £10 Friend Pass for students, key workers and people on state benefits, up to two per month. Monthly plans run from £125 for eight days to £250 for a personal desk, with private offices from £1,065.
Huckletree, Soho and other branches: flex membership £250 per month for ten days and unlimited at £350, both excluding VAT, with a day pass at £35 excluding VAT. WeWork lists London memberships from £339 per month and day passes from £40 to £70 depending on the building. Check the VAT line on every quote: £250 plus VAT is £300, which is £50 more than Huckletree's own headline suggests.
Match the access before multiplying the price
Hour buckets suit predictable schedules. If you work 40-hour months, Drop-in's Club tier prices those hours at £4.50 each; unused hours expire. A calendar-day plan suits irregular attendance: ARC's Neighbour tier gives eight days for £125, and its five-day pack stays valid for three months.
Illustrative arithmetic using the published headline rates: eight £40 days at Drop-in cost £320, against the £180 Club tier if your visits fit the 40-hour cap. Eight £13 days at Kindred cost £130, cheaper than every monthly plan here. The right answer depends on your days, hours and whether VAT applies to you. This is budget arithmetic, not a recommendation.
Ask for the missing line items
The reviewed tariffs do not settle every deposit, notice, cancellation or meeting-room question. Ask each operator for the full first payment including VAT, the recurring total, the minimum term, the notice deadline and the cost of the meeting-room hours you are likely to use. ARC sells extra guest passes at £10; guest rules differ per operator and are rarely in the headline.
Keep from-prices and firm quotes separate. Private offices from £1,065 at ARC Club or WeWork's building-specific day rates establish a floor, not the price of the room you want.
Choose the branch before choosing the cheapest number
These addresses run from Hammersmith in the west to Hackney and Stratford in the east. A £13 day pass across town can cost more in travel time than a £40 pass near home. Use the exact address in your own journey check; this article does not claim travel times or that one area is convenient for everyone.
Use the London directory to shortlist branches, then confirm the offer directly. We have not visited these spaces and have not tested internet speed, noise or room availability. Public-source review is not owner verification. Recheck the linked operator page and your written agreement before paying.
