Coworking costs in New York: six published offers, compared
A dated New York price sample across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx, showing why the borough and the plan type change the number.

We checked these operators' official pages on 21 October 2026. This is a small, selected sample, not a city market average, a ranking or a live availability check. Rates are as advertised in the stated currency; taxes, contract terms and final availability need a written quote from the operator.
A useful starting point, not a city average
In this six-operator sample, advertised day passes run from $20 to $60 and shared-desk memberships from $199 to $500 per month. These figures answer what these specific pages advertise today, not what every New York workspace costs. Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx are different markets sharing a city name.
The sample includes two easy comparison traps. An hourly meeting-room rate is not a desk rate, and a low monthly figure can be a one-day-a-week plan rather than unlimited access. We kept those products separate below.
The published sample
Cubico, 433 Broadway: hot desk membership $199 per month and a day pass at $20, with a $500 per month plan above it. The operator lists communal spaces across several floors; confirm which areas your specific plan admits.
Bond Collective Bushwick, 12 Park Street, Brooklyn: day passes from $40, coworking from $300 per month, dedicated desks from $500 and private offices from $750. Meeting rooms start at $55 per hour, a separate product from desk time.
Bronx Coworking Space, 2825 Third Avenue, Suite 301: a 7-day pass at $125, a monthly floating-desk pass at $325, single-desk private offices from $675 and meeting rooms at $45 per hour. The monthly pass includes a locker and 30 minutes of conference-room time; heavier room use is extra.
The Austin Space, 108-14 72nd Avenue, 2nd Floor, Forest Hills, Queens: $45 per month for one day a week, $215 per month for 12 days and $325 per month for unlimited access, with extra days at $25. The $45 headline is a one-day-a-week plan, not a full membership.
WorkBetter, 33 W 19th Street, Chelsea: day pass $35, a 5-day bundle at $110, a 10-day bundle at $175 and a monthly plan at $350. Astoria Coworking, 32-07 30th Avenue, 2nd Floor, Astoria, Queens: day pass $40, a $35 per month plan covering one day per month with extra days at $25, a 10-day plan at $179 and unlimited at $295.
Match the access before multiplying the price
Bundles and part-month plans change the arithmetic. At WorkBetter, ten single days at $35 cost $350; the 10-day bundle is $175. At Astoria Coworking, a $35 plan buys one day, not a desk for the month. Compare the days you will actually attend, at the access hours you need.
Illustrative arithmetic using the published headline rates: eight $35 days cost $280, against WorkBetter's $350 monthly plan, so the membership only wins past ten visits at that rate. At The Austin Space, twelve days are $215 on the mid-tier plan against $300 as twelve $25 extra days on the base plan. These are budget comparisons, not proof of equal entitlements or availability.
Ask for the missing line items
The reviewed tariffs do not settle tax, deposit, notice, cancellation or room-credit questions. Several operators price meeting rooms by the hour, separate from desk plans: $45 per hour at Bronx Coworking Space and from $55 per hour at Bond Collective Bushwick. If your week includes calls or client meetings, price those hours into the comparison.
Ask each operator for the full first payment, the recurring total, the minimum term, the notice deadline and what happens to unused bundle days. An advertised from-price is not a firm quote.
Choose the borough before choosing the cheapest number
These six addresses span four boroughs. A $325 Bronx floating desk and a $500 Brooklyn dedicated desk are not interchangeable if your clients are in Manhattan. Use the exact address in your own journey check; this article does not claim travel times or that one borough is convenient for everyone.
Use the New York directory to shortlist branches, then confirm the offer directly. We have not visited these spaces and have not tested internet speed, noise or room availability. Public-source review is not owner verification. Recheck the linked operator page and your written agreement before paying.
